Badinan District

Badinan (Kurdish: "Bahdînan") is a district in the north of Southern Kurdistan region in Iraq. It was the center of the Kurdish principality of Badinan from 14th to 19th century. The primary Kurdish dialect spoken in Badinan is a form of Northern Kurmanji, also referred to locally as Badini.
