Aleksey Apukhtin

Aleksey Nikolayevich Apukhtin ( _ru. Алексей Николаевич Апухтин, 1840-1893) Russian poet, writer, critic, a very compulsive figure of his time in St.Petersburg.Using all traditions of amorous, gipsy romance, it introduced into this genre much its own artistic temperament. Many romances were assumed on the music by Tschaikovsky and by other well-known composers (" To forget so soon" , " Does the day reign" , " Nights of madness" and other). In 1886 after the print of his "Poems" Apukhtin's poetic reputation finally was strengthened. In 1890 were written prosaic works - " Unfinished story" , " Archive of the countess Of [d] ." , " Pavlik Dolskogo's diary". The prose Of Apukhtin was highly evaluated by Mikhail Bulgakov. Died [Apukhtin] on August 17 (29 [n] . [s] .)1893) in Petersburg.
