Edwin C. Brock is an American
Egyptologist , who formerly worked for the Theban Mapping Project at theAmerican University in Cairo . He is currently working on royal sarcophagi in theValley of the Kings . He also worked in the tombs ofMerenptah (KV8 ) andAmenmeses (KV10 ), along withOtto Schaden and theTheban Mapping Project (of which he was a member from 1997 to 2004. He is currently the co-director of theAmenmesse Tomb Project , which inFebruary 2006 announced the discovery ofKV63 , the most recent tomb found in the Valley. He also is supervising archaeological salvage work in Luxor as part of the wastewater project there.He is married to Canadian Egyptologist
