Barrin Simpson "The Minister of Defense" (born October 1, 1977, in St. Louis, Missouri) is a Canadian Football League linebacker for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, having formerly played for the British Columbia Lions.

College career

Simpson attended Mississippi State University. He was a two time Southeast Conference All-Star, and finished his career with three interceptions, 296 tackles, and a fumble recovery.He is currently the captain of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers Defense and is a minister in the off-season, hence his nickname "The Minister of Defense"
