Garden Villas is a subdivision in Houston, Texas, United States.

The lots range from one-half acre to over two acres. Most homes in the convert|876|acre|km2|sing=on subdivision were built in the 1930s and 1940s, but construction continued through the 1950s, and the area was largely built out by the end of the decade. There are a few homes that were built in the 1980s and even the late 1990s.Fact|date=April 2008

The neighborhood is characterized by the diversity of home styles, generous lots, and its massive number of pecan trees. Hundreds mature of pecan trees, planted down both sides of every street, were planted in the 1920s when the subdivision was platted provide a canopy over every street in the subdivision.

Aircraft from the nearby airport rumble overhead some portions of the subdivision.

History

A River Oaks developer platted Garden Villas in 1926 and planted nearly 6,000 pecan trees in the neighborhood.
