Ōminato Station (大湊駅, Ōminato-eki^?) is the northern terminal station of JR East’s Ōminato Line. It is located in the city of Mutsu, Aomori Prefecture, Japan. It is 58.4 rail kilometers from the southern terminus of the Ōminato Line at Noheji Station.

History

Ōminato Station was opened on September 25, 1921 as a station on the Japanese Government Railways (JGR). With the privatization of the Japan National Railways (the successor to the JGR) on April 1, 1987, it came under the operational control of JR East.
