Wolfgang Suschitzky, born
29 August 1912 inVienna, Austria , is acinematographer andphotographer .Edith Tudor-Hart , the woman who is credited with suggesting that theNKVD recruitKim Philby , was Suschitzky's sister.He was born above his family’s socialist bookshop and, speaking in an interview at the age of 95 in September 2007, he recalled boyhood memories of the excitement that greeted the Russian Revolution in 1917 (see [http://lebrecht.wordpress.com/2007/09/18/wolf-suschitzky-doyen-of-photographers-is-the-guest-speaker-at-lebrecht-annual-garden-party/ here] ). Travelling toEngland in 1934, he worked in various capacities before becoming a cameraman forPaul Rotha .His credits include "Ulysses", directed by
