Jaroslav Drobný (born October 18 1979 in Počátky, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech football goalkeeper. He currently plays for the German team Hertha BSC Berlin in the season 2008-09.

Drobný's first club was local SK Chrudium (Czech second division). In his first season he was transferred to concurrent FC Vitkovice. The next step was the First Division club SK České Budějovice. He spent his first professional years there from 1999 till 2002.

The next step in his career was a transfer to Panionios in the Alpha Ethniki, the Premier Division of Greek football. Drobný calls this period the most happy period of his life till now.Fact|date=January 2008

In 2005, he was spotted by Fulham, and in the summer, the club having sold Edwin van der Sar, he was bought by the West London club. However, Drobný was injured shortly after his arrival, and upon returning to fitness failed to get into the team. He was loaned for half a season to the Dutch club Ado Den Haag. When he returned his contract was terminated by mutual consent in August 2006, without Drobný having played a first-team game for the club.

On October 27 2006 he joined Ipswich Town on a short term deal, but failed to make a first team appearance. On January 23 2007 he was loaned to VfL Bochum.

Drobný immediately took over the position on goal from the unlucky Danish keeper Peter Skov-Jensen. On January 27 2007 he made his Bundesliga debut with VfL Bochum against Mainz. [ cite web|title=Tactical Formation|work=Football-Lineups.com

] Drobný played a good season. So after this season the financial stronger club Hertha BSC Berlin made him an offer he couldn't refuse. In the season 2007/08 he plays in the German capital.

He has played 16 times for the Czech national team's Under-21 side, but his opportunities have been limited in the full squad, due to the presence of Petr Čech, the highly rated goalkeeper who plays for Chelsea.
