Chad Smith (G/Z/R)

Chad Smith is the drummer for G/Z/R. He replaced Deen Castronovo in 1997, and both he and Clark Brown have been members since.

Chad began playing drums at the age of 12, and turned professional when aged 14. Like Pedro Howse, he has been in many bands, including "Heaven's Flame" in 1985, "Mary Burns" in 1987, "Anacrusis" in 1990, "London Calling" in 1992, "Pavlov's Dog" in 1994 and, most recently, G/Z/R in 1997.

Influences

His influences range from John Bonham and Tommy Aldridge to Clyde Stubblefield and Steve Gadd.
