Harald Cerny (born September 13, 1973 in Vienna) is a former Austrian football midfielder. He is married and has two children.

Club career

After coming through the youth ranks at Admira Wacker, Cerny began his professional career at German giants FC Bayern München in 1992, only to return to Admira just after the start of the 93/94 Bundesliga season. A good season at Admira earned him a move to FC Tirol. Two seasons later he returned to Germany and stayed with Bayern city rivals TSV 1860 München for ten years, playing 263 Bundesliga matches which is a club record.

International career

Cerny made his debut for Austria in a March 1993 friendly match against Greece. He earned 47 caps, scoring 4 goals. He also played two matches at the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France and in 9 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
