Professor Doctor Anwar ul-Haq Ahady is anAfghan politician Fact|date=May 2008 andacademic Fact|date=May 2008, and the top finance official inAfghanistan . Born the son ofAbdul Haqhas , he holds aMaster of Business Administration (MBA), as well as aPh.D inpolitical science Fact|date=May 2008 from the post-graduate faculty ofNorthwestern University , in Evanston, Ill., north ofChicago . He earned aBachelor's degree and aMaster's degree , ineconomics andpolitical science , from theAmerican University of Beirut , inLebanon Fact|date=May 2008. Ahadi has served as an assistant professor of political science atCarleton College in Northfield, Minn., in the United States, and as the banking director of Continental Elona of Chicago from 1985-1987. From 1987 to 2002, he was a professor of political science atProvidence College , aRoman Catholic university inProvidence, R.I. In 2002, he was made the governor ofDa Afghanistan Bank (thecentral bank ofAfghanistan ). Currently he is thefinance minister ofAfghanistan and also the head of the Pashtun nationalist "Afghan Mellat " party.He has many writings in academic journals, books and popular dailies of the U.S.
