Saurav Ghosal became the first Indian ever to win the coveted British Junior Open U-19 Squash title, defeating Adel El Said of
Egypt in the final atSheffield, England . He was the # 1ranked junior in the world in 2004Saurav moved to
Chennai after completing his schooling and was based at the ICL squash academy inChennai and coached by Maj (Rtd) Maniam andCyrus Poncha in Chennai, India. Currently based inLeeds , he trains with Malcolm Willstrop. Saurav is the current Indian national champion defeating Gaurav Nandrajog at the recently concluded National Championships, 2006 inNew Delhi . He current world ranking is no 41 (aug 2007). He won the bronze medal at the Asian Games 2006 Doha. Otters PSA 2006, Chenna 2007 were his PSA tournament wins and is the current British Universities champion.He was awarded the
