Early life
Maria was born in Stara Zagora. She made her debut on the children show for young talents with the song "Clovers". She has been successful since then and has created many popular hits among "Just for Me", "The One", "Crazy in Love", "Not Enough", "I don't love You", and "No, No, No".

- Maria was in Planeta Derby for five years in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2009, and 2010.
In 2007, Maria also featured in a 30-second television commercial for the beer, (Ariana) (Bulgarian: Ариана), in which she appears to open a bottle with her breasts, but then reveals a bottle opener on a necklace. That won her the nickname Mara Otvarachkata (otvarachka - bulg. a bottle opener; Mara is a short for Maria).
