Leonard George "Len" Rudling (
25 February 1935 -25 January 2003 ) was the co-coordinator of theApprenticeship Department atMohawk College atHamilton, Ontario . He establishedplumbing apprenticeship programs for theprovince ofOntario , and wrote three textbooks on plumbing ("Basic", "Intermediate", and "Advanced Plumbing"). These books served as the foundation ofmunicipal and provincial plumbing codes in Ontario, and are still used by Ontario colleges to this day.Originally from
Pietermaritzburg ,South Africa , Rudling immigrated to Canada with his wife and children in 1960. He first developed his plumbing techniques in the challenging Canadian climate, later becoming a collegiate lecturer and administrator. He died after a long bout withcancer .References
