Lawrence Albert "Al" Siebert, (b. 1934,
Portland, Oregon ) is an American author and educator. He is best know for his research onpsychological resilience and the inner nature of highly resilient survivors.He received a BS from
Willamette University inSalem, Oregon , and his MA and PhD in clinical psychology from theUniversity of Michigan . He is an ex-army paratrooper, joining for a short time at the end of the Korean War. As adjunct professor, he has taught management psychology seminars for over thirty years atPortland State University . He is the author of several books on resiliency and survivor traits.Currently, Dr. Siebert lives in
Portland, Oregon with his wife Molly and speaks to business, government and military leaders on developing resiliency skills.Media Appearances / Publications
