Virginia Haussegger

Virginia Haussegger (born 1964) is a journalist who has been the presenter of the 7pm ABC Canberra News since 2001. She has previously presented the ABC's 7:30 Report and has at various times worked for the Nine and Seven networks in flagship current affairs programs. She is also a leading commentator on a range of social issues and has a Saturday column in the Canberra Times. She was awarded the United Nations Association of Australia Media Peace Prize for her coverage of Indigenous Affairs in 1996.

She married fellow journalist, Political Editor for the Adelaide Advertiser, Mark Kenny on the 15th of October 2005; it is the second marriage for both partners.

She is the author of "Wonder Woman: The Myth of Having it All" in which she reflected on her life a successful and childless career woman.
