Theremyn 4

THEREMYN_4 is an electronic music acts from the Peruvian music scene since late 1990s. From the sounds of its first album "Fluorescente verde en el patio" (2000) to the experimental landscapes, radio frecuencies and the retro sound of "Mi vida en Infrarrojo" (2001), THEREMYN_4 has been keeping itself reinventing and proposing an aesthetic where the local cultural, urban life and science fiction crosses themselves to create new audio, video and conceptual affairs. During these years, live presentations in cities of all Peru and the most important festivals of local avant-garde music like LOOPERACTIVA, CONTACTO and PARK-O-BAHN have made the live act of T_4 a display of force, emotion and art. The new work LIMA/TOKYO/LIMA (2004) marks a new stage in the evolution of THEREMYN_4. Presented at the beginning of the year in a tour on France, this CD is a synthesis of all the styles and influences that have carved in the musical and visual concept of the project. From the music of Kraftwerk, Led Zeppelin and Lalo Schifrin to the visual proposals of Japanese animation, the abstract films and the pop culture. Parallel to this work, on June is published the CD PERUVIAN REMIXING CO. (2004), which is the first remixes CD produced in Peru. In this CD, THEREMYN_4 remix various rock and electronica bands and projects from his hometown Peru.
