- The Groovin' Reels
The Groovin' Reels are an Irish Traditional band from various areas of
Ireland , who believe in modernization of IrishFolk music . The first met at Machaire Rabhartaigh,Donegal on a SummerGaeltacht course. They play a range of music, written themselves and by famous Irish poets such asW.B. Yeats and various otherbards . The want to give a voice to young Irish musicians of any genre wanting to be heard. They are running a campaign through a tour called the 'Croíthe Clainne' tour to get to meet young singers and musicians fromBelfast ,Dublin ,Derry andMeath . They started just after the band 'Cabéal' split up. All members left, except forRoibeard Óg . They are from different backgrounds, and have welcomed people from all walks of life to their band and campaign.Recently, they have started co-writing songs with friends and are releasing a charity demo, which will be recorded in
