- Young Republican Left of Catalonia
The Young Republican Left of Catalonia (in Catalan: "Joventuts d'Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya", JERC) is the youth wing of the political party Republican Left of Catalonia (in Catalan: "Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya", ERC).
According to their principles declaration, their aim is "attaining a democratic society, in which any sign of social or national oppression had disappeared within an ecologically equilibrated territory, by bringing awareness and mobilizing the youth of the "Països Catalans".
One of their main activities is an independentist festival, "Acampada Jove", which every year congregates Catalan independentist youngsters in Sant Celoni.
Their current spokesperson is Jordi Coca.
Their publication is the magazine "LA VEU del jovent" (Voice of the Youngster). They use both the blue and red estelada versions.
