Next=KV14 Tomb KV13, located in the
Valley of the Kings inEgypt , was cut and decorated for the burial of the noble Bay of the Nineteenth Dynasty. Anostraca published in the French Egyptological journalBIFAO in 2000 records that Chancellor Bay was executed by pharaohSiptah . [Pierre Grandet, "L'execution du chancelier Bay O.IFAO 1864", BIFAO 100(2000), pp.339-345 ] Consequently, Bay was never buried in his tomb. Moreover, no funerary goods were found in the tomb belonging toBay . It was later reused byAmenherkhepshef andMentuherkhepsef of the Twentieth Dynasty.References
