Paul-Henri DuBerger (born
October 8 ,1939 inMatane ,Quebec ) in is a contemporaryCanadian impressionist painter.DuBerger, born in
Matane ,Quebec and residing inQuebec City . Parallel to his academic career atUniversité Laval he developed a vital interest in painting.Starting with just a few sketches, DuBerger quickly improved his techniques, focussing on impressionist painting. While attending several workshops he got the opportunity to meet Emile A. Gruppé, an American master of the School of Impressionism of Gloucester. Gruppé agreed to provide valuable knowledge and his influence becomes obvious when viewing Paul-Henri DuBergers paintings today. Nevertheless, DuBerger managed to develop his very own, individual style of painting.
DuBerger, meanwhile retired, today enjoys his freedom to paint in his private studio as well as many outside locations.
