The Harajuku Lovers Tour 2005 was a concert tour in support of Gwen Stefani's first solo album "Love. Angel. Music. Baby" (2004). The tour featured a five piece band, dancers, a marching band, pirates, and Stefani's four Harajuku Girls. The openers for this North American tour included Black Eyed Peas, Ladytron, Goldfrapp and M.I.A.

Stefani's first solo concert tour coincided with the launch of her Harajuku Lovers line of accessories.Tour performances were documented on her late 2006 "Harajuku Lovers Live" DVD, which was filmed at her first tour stop in her hometown Anaheim, California. It Features Ciara only.

Reception

The tour received mixed, but fairly positive, reviews from critics. "The Seattle Times" found that the material used was "...eminently unforgettable...," and reviewers stated that Stefani should have used songs from her work with No Doubt.MacDonald, Patrick. Also noted was that "...though she makes great dance music--Stefani can't dance." "Winnipeg Sun" agreed, noting there were three costume changes during the first four songs. Stefani ended up touring while pregnant which forbade her from performing at optimum level. [Williams, Rob. A DVD video titled "Harajuku Lovers Live" documents Stefani's performance in Anaheim, California. The DVD was released on December 5, 2006 in conjunction with the promotion for her second album "The Sweet Escape" (2006).

Because of Stefani's profanity-filled on-stage persona, the DVD carries a Parental Advisory sticker (clean version also available). The set list includes all the songs from her debut album "Love. Angel. Music. Baby." (2004) and two then-new tracks ("Wind It Up" and "Orange County Girl") from "The Sweet Escape". The DVD was certified gold in Australia [ [http://www.aria.com.au/pages/ARIACharts-Accreditations-2006DVD.htm "Accreditations - 2006 DVD"] . Australian Recording Industry Association.
