Lark News

Lark News

Lark News is a comedy newsletter satirizing contemporary American Christian culture, specifically evangelicalism. It is written by author and freelance journalist Joel Kilpatrick. According to the site's official disclaimer::"LarkNews is a satirical newspaper published by Joel Kilpatrick. Lark News uses invented names in all its stories, except in cases when public figures are being satirized. Any other use of real names is accidental and coincidental."

Lark News's style is very similar to that of The Onion and is widely read by both Christians and non-Christians. Kilpatrick is himself an evangelical Christian who also writes more conventional Christian exposition but believes that satire is necessary for a healthy community.

Kilpatrick is the author of "A Field Guide to Evangelicals and Their Habitat", a satirical guide to evangelicalism which includes material from the site.
