Canadian University College is a private Christian University affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist. Canadian University College is part of the Seventh-day Adventist system of higher education. Although a significant number of students come from an Seventh-day Adventist background, all students who are interested in living and studying in a Christian context are welcome to apply. The College is a degree-granting institution and teacher's college in Lacombe, Alberta. It offers more than twenty fully-accredited undergraduate degree, diploma, and certificate programs. The college has an enrollment of about 400, with a student-to-teacher ratio of ten to one.

History

Canadian University College traces its roots to the first Seventh-day Adventist secondary school in Alberta, established in 1907 in Leduc. The Lacombe site for the College was chosen in 1909. It is affiliated with the Association of Theological Schools.

Programs

Canadian University College is authorized by the Government of Alberta to offer accredited degrees pursuant to the Universities Act of Alberta: Bachelor of Arts (3 & 4 years), Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Business Administration (4 year), Bachelor of Science (3&4 year), diploma (2 year), Marital & Family therapy program. The programs are offered in the Division of Arts; Division of Science; School of Business; and School of Education.

Residence

Canadian University College has residence accomodation and a limited amount of off campus housing.

Affiliations

Affiliated with Canadian University College and operating on the same campus, are Parkview Adventist Academy (a boarding school for grades 10-12), Loma Linda University’s Marital and Family Therapy Master’s Degree program, and La Sierra University Extended Campus Program offering a Master of Arts degree from the La Sierra University School of Education.
