Gosford High School (abbreviation GHS) is a school located in Gosford, New South Wales, Australia. It is a co-educational, academically selective high school operated by the New South Wales Department of Education and Training with students from years 7 to 12. The school was established in 1928 and was made a selective high school in 1989. Students at the school come from the Sydney and Newcastle regions. Currently, Gosford High is the only selective school on the Central Coast. The school has faculties for English, Mathematics, Science, Information Technology, Technological and Applied Studies, Social Sciences (Geography, History, etc.), Creative and Performing Arts, Languages (French, German and Japanese), Agriculture and PDHPE.

Motto

The school's Latin motto is "spectemur agendo", which is conventionally translated into English as "judge me by what I do." Other translations include "Let us be judged by our acts" and "By our deeds may we be known" (this translation is preferred by Camberwell Grammar School in Melbourne, who shares the same motto).
