- Jacobine Jones
Phyllis Jacobine Jones (1897–1976) was a sculptor. She was born in England, but migrated to Canada in 1933.
Jacobine traveled around Denmark and Italy with her mother for years until, at 28, she studied casting, carving, and modelling at the Regent Street Polytechnic in
London . She joined theSculptors' Society of Canada in 1939. Her close friend and protege was Elizabeth Bradford Holbrook whom before her passing she gifted several artistic tools. Many of these tools have since been gifted to Holbrook's protege Christian Cardell Corbet.A sculpture by Jacobine Jones depicting a family scene in prehistoric times, bearing the Latin motto “Sic Vita Vitalis” or “Thus Is Life Livable”, is above the main entrance to the Rogers Campus in Toronto.

Natalie Luckyj . (1945-2002)Jacobine's birthdate is sometimes listed as 1898, which is incorrect, and in some places, such as the biography listed above, her mother's last name, "Nielsen," is misspelt as "Neilsen."
