"20 to 1" is an Australian television series, hosted by Bert Newton that counts down Australian pop culture's most defining moments. Previously the show had been hosted by Charles "Bud" Tingwell and narrated by David Reyne.

Format

A "20 to 1" episode typically starts with the 20th ranked event and makes its way down until it reaches the 1st. With each event, a short clip containing material such as film and video, news or radio excerpts, eye witness reports etc. is shown. This is followed by comments from a number of celebrities and well-known Australian personalities. These people tell of their thoughts, reactions and comments about the event. In all of the 20 to 1 episodes Bert Newton always likes to add his two cents worth into a joke about the clip or topic.
