Socialist Party of Yugoslavia

Socialist Party of Yugoslavia (Serbian: Социјалистичка партија Југославије, "Socijalistička partija Jugoslavije") is a political party in Montenegro. It was founded in 2002 with its seat in Podgorica.

In the 2002 elections to the parliament of Montenegro SPJ contested on the list "Socijalistička partija Jugoslavije sa komunistima - za očuvanje Jugoslavije" together with League of Communists of Yugoslavia-Communists of Montenegro, New Communist Party of Yugoslavia and Yugoslav Communists [ [http://www.ifimes.org/default.cfm?Jezik=Ba&Kat=09&ID=110 International institute Ifimes ] ] [ [http://www.danas.co.yu/20021018/front_page.htm Dnevni list DANAS ] ] . The list got 0.66% of the votes.

In the 2002 municipal elections (when elections were held in 19 cities and towns) SPJ contested in Budva (1%, no seat), Danilovgrad (3.86%, 1 seat), Mojkovac (1.19%, no seat) and Tivat (3.84%, 1 seat) [ [http://www.lscg.org/content/respekt-8-10.html Danijela Jovicevic - Lokalni izbori ] ] .
