Archon (Ancient Greek: polytonic|Ἄρχων;
4th century BC ) was aPella ean appointedsatrap ofBabylonia after the death ofAlexander the Great (323 BC ), [Justin, "Epitome of Pompeius Trogus", [http://www.forumromanum.org/literature/justin/english/trans13.html#4 xiii. 4] ;Diodorus Siculus , "Bibliotheca", xviii. 3.] is probably the same as the son of Cleinias mentioned in the Indian expedition of Alexander. [Arrian , "Indica", [http://websfor.org/alexander/arrian/indica1.asp 18] ] As it is proved from an inscription inDelphi , Archon had taken part both in Isthmian andPythian Games of c. 333-332 BC, where he won in horse-races.References
