* [http://www.radiomixtape.com/music/Beachwood_Sparks Beachwood Sparks Music at Radio Mixtape] Sperske's early experiences began in the early 1980s, with "Armistice", an anarcho-peace punk band, then in 1984, "NatureCore". (Ren Cerro: guitar, vocals,Sanders Anderson: bass, Tam Bracken: vocals) Naturecore released on 12" EP, "With love..." recorded in 1986, and one song on the A.L.F. Compilation entitled "The ALF is Watching". Both on No Masters Voice Records. NatureCore later changed their name to Black Apple Forest with the ex-bassist from Amistice (Tony Santiago) on vocals. Sperske´s drumming on these recordings is technical, fast, and frenetic, showing his influences from Social Unrest to John Bonham, Hendrix, light-years away from his work with Lilys, Miracle Workers.
