His most recent work is the 2008 film, "" and a notable film, Muhoortham Pathinonnu Muppathinu and Naran (2005).

Biography

Joshi hails from Varkala, in Thiruvananthapuram district, where his family ran movie-houses. He has done 63 films so far, starting with "Tiger Salim" (1978) . He is known for directing action movies, like "New Delhi", thrillers, like "Sangham", and has also mad ethe costliest Malyalam movie ever made, "Dubai" that flopped.

He was also the Chairman of MACTA (Malayalam Cine Technicians Association).
