Their polished renditions begin in the Soukous tradition, with a slow, harmonious introduction; this then breaks out, again as in the Soukous tradition, into a fast-paced chorus known as the 'sebene' with resonating, repeated
electric guitar rhythms in the background, interwoven with a choice assortment ofAfrican percussion instruments accompanied by orchestras. Each of the four members of Les Quatre Etoiles have long established individual musical careers.

They were created in 1983 and they were based in Paris - They made good soukous music. They released their first LP in 1983 with Pablo Lubadika on Bass - but Pablo left the band. His song 'Maquereau" makes high bass sound funky. Their second Lp Four Stars is also good their songs - Enfaint Bamikele and Luila are quite danceable. Dance followed in 1985 which features some classic songs - Kelele and Kabyby. Another Lp followed in 1987. The group disbanded in 1996 due to the popularity of Ndombolo music so they rejoin as Kelele and play Rumba music.
