In this day, the "Escape to Egypt" is performed throughout the street of the town. Lazkao becomes
Belen (Judea ). There,Herod lives and wants to kill Jesus but, an angel tells Mary, Joseph and Jesus to escape toEgypt .This Biblical passage was first performed in the 17th century. Nowadays, the Nuns of the Covent of Lazkao sell the traditional wafers that were sold in those times.
