Archbishop Hoban High School Sutton set numerous school records and was a 4-year varsity starter. He left high school with 9,426 career rushing yards, setting the newOhio state rushing record.College career
At 5-9 and 190 pounds, Sutton has emerged as one of the top backs in the nation. Many thought he was too small to play college football, being passed up by big name schools such as
Ohio State and theUniversity of Notre Dame .Freshman Year
In the 2005 season, he finished with 1,515 yards on 250 carries and scoring 16 touchdowns. Tyrell also received the Big 10's Freshman of the Year Award.
