Vic Flowers born April 16th 1952 is the acting leader of the
Barmy Army , a group of Englishcricket supporters noted for passionately following theEnglish cricket team around the world. Flowers is fromOldham and is nicknamedJimmy Savile because of his resemblance to the disc jockey of the same name. Flowers is noted for his crazy outfits, as well as leading the Barmy Army chants. His antics have brought his attention to the England team itself, and when the team that had wonthe 2005 Ashes touredLondon in an open-topped bus to a celebration inTrafalgar Square , Flowers was invited up in the Square to lead the chants.References
