Anthony Lowther (d. 1741)
- Anthony Lowther (d. 1741)
Anthony Lowther (aft. 1694 – 24 November 1741) was the third and youngest son of John Lowther, 1st Viscount Lonsdale by his wife Katherine, daughter of Sir Henry Frederick Thynne, 1st Baronet (ancestor of the Marquesses of Bath). He served as one of the two Members of Parliament for Cockermouth from 1721 to 1722, alongside Sir Thomas Pengelly, and then as a member for Westmorland from 1722 until his death. He died unmarried, and so on the death of his elder brother in 1751 the Viscountcy of Lonsdale became extinct.
