Frye's Inn

Frye's Inn

Frye's Inn is a historic stagecoach inn and tavern in the town of Capon Bridge, West Virginia, United States. The inn is the oldest standing structure within its town limits. Frye's Inn was built between 1800 and 1818 by Eli Beall and originally served as a tavern and a stagecoach stop. Beall's daughter, Sarah Jane, married a man with the surname Frye and the two converted the tavern into a boardinghouse for travelers on the Northwestern Turnpike. Frye's Inn is located directly east of the Capon Bridge over the Cacapon River on US 50.
