Central High School is a high school in Bridgeport, Fairfield County, Connecticut. It was originally founded in 1876 as Bridgeport High School.cite web |url=http://bridgeport.ct.schoolwebpages.com/education/components/scrapbook/default.php?sectiondetailid=4537 |title=The History of Bridgeport Central High School |accessdate=2007-03-12 |format=HTML |language=English |work=Central High School Official Site ] In 2003 the school held 2,217 students and 152 teachers. Ethnically the students were 46% African-American, 32% Hispanic, 17% white and 4% Asian, with 1% marked as unknown.

The current school building was constructed in 1963-4, and was dedicated on October 25, 1964.
