Matthew Breen

Matthew Breen is a journalist and entertainment writer living in Los Angeles, CA, United States. He is the editor-in-chief of The Advocate, a national gay news magazine,^[1] and editorial director for The Advocate Group.

Breen was previously executive editor at Out and a freelance film critic. He was the program director for the 2001 Austin Film Festival,^[2] and an associate film programmer for the 2002 IFP/West Los Angeles Film Festival, and media manager for the 1998 and 1999 Sundance Film Festivals. He was previously on the board of directors of the Queer Lounge.
