Andre Schneider (born Andre-Marc Schneider) is a writer and actor. He was born on
10 March ,1978 , inHildesheim ,Germany .Schneider made his first impression as a
stand-up comedian inGreat Britain andIreland , before he chalked up a string of parts in international film productions, such as "The Tulse Luper Suitcases " (directed byPeter Greenaway ) and "Deed Poll " (co-starringBarbara Kowa ). In theater, he has appeared asPuck inIan Talbot 's West End production ofWilliam Shakespeare 's "A Midsummer Night's Dream ". He reprised the part four years later under different direction.In 2006, he wrote, produced and starred in "Half Past Ten", based on the
Marguerite Duras novel , "Dix heures et demie du soir en été ", co-starringKerstin Linnartz . Other film credits include "Riot at the Rite" withAdam Garcia andAlex Jennings and "The Last Drop " withBilly Zane . Since 2005, Schneider has appeared in various Spanishindependent films , most notably in the lackluster "La paz de tus ojos tristes " by directorAnthony Himbs . He speaks German, English, French and Spanish fluently.Between 1997 and 2006, Schneider has also released some music albums with limited availability, such as "Lover's Space" and "Letters From the Whorehouse Exile". His first book, "Life is a Sexually Transmitted Disease", was published in 2004.
