Nassau, Bahamas . Symonette studiedlaw inLondon and is a member of the Bahamas Bar. Symonette is also an established real estate broker.Symonette was appointed to the Senate in
1987 by the late Sir Cecil Wallace Whitfield and was re-appointed to the Senate in 1992 byPrime Minister Hubert Ingraham . Symonnette is one of a handful of current white Members of Parliament.Following the May 2007 general election, which was won by the FNM, Symonette was sworn in as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs in Ingraham's government on
