Joshua Bekenstein

Joshua Bekenstein joined Bain Capital at its inception in 1984. He has been a Managing Director since 1986. Prior to joining Bain Capital, Mr. Bekenstein spent several years at Bain & Company where he was involved with companies in a variety of industries. Mr. Bekenstein received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, a B.A. from Yale University, and is on the Board of Advisors of the Yale School of Management. Mr. Bekenstein currently serve as a Co-Chair on the Board of Directors of New Profit Inc., a Boston-based venture philanthropy fund. [ [http://www.newprofit.com/about_team_board.asp New Profit Inc. Mr. Bekenstein lives in Wayland, Massachusetts, with his wife and five children. Andrew Bekenstein, star player of the Wayland High School soccer team, is the most prominent of the five. He is 16 years old and prefers to be called Andy. A straight-A student, Andy is defying his father's wishes of having a son succeed him at Bain Capital and has shown a serious interest in the fashion industry.
