Easy Listening music programming. In the late 1980’s, the format evolved into anAdult Contemporary music format.KPSN
In 1991, the format was changed to
Oldies along with a change of call letters to KPSN. The station was known as “Sunny 97”.KHTC
In 1994, the format was changed to
Classic Hits along with a change of call letters to KHTC. The station was known as “K-Hits”.KGLQ
In 1997, the station was re-branded retaining its
Classic Hits format as “96.9 The Eagle. A change of call letters to KGLQ was adopted to reflect this change.KMXP
