Robert ("Robbie") Crane (born January 5, 1969 in Orange County, California) moved to the Fairfax District of Hollywood, California at the age of 9 were he attended Bancroft juinor high and Fairfax high school. For his 14th birthday his father bought him his first bass guitar from Fairfax Music School in Hollywood. Soon after Robbie and bestfriend Stuart Waldman were playing Hollywood clubs with their first band "Dreamsuite" when they were only 16. Robbie went on to tech for Bobby Dall of Poison from 1984 - 1986. As a bassist he played in local L.A. bands: Lancia, Hot Wheelz, New Haven and Monroe (Rick Monroe) and has toured and was unceremoniously fired from Vince Neil's (Motley Crue) solo band featuring Steve Stevens and Vikki Foxx. Robbie toured with Stephen Pearcy and Al Pitrelli in Vertex. From 1996 to currently Robbie has been touring and recording with various versions of Ratt. In 2006 he joined the supergroup Saints Of The Underground featuring Jani Lane of Warrant, Keri Kelli of Alice Cooper, and Bobby Blotzer also from Ratt, and released the album Love the Sin, Hate the Sinner.

His other side projects have included: Love/Hate, Adler's Appetite and The Big Ball Starrs.
