Taxpayers League of Minnesota

Taxpayers League of Minnesota

The Taxpayers League of Minnesota is a fiscally conservative lobbying group dedicated to lowering taxes and increasing government accountability in Minnesota. Phil Krinkie, a former state legislator, has been the group's president since February 2007. Prior to that, David Strom served as President of the Taxpayers League. Strom now runs the Minnesota Free Market Institute.

The mission of the Taxpayers League is to function as a nonpartisan, nonprofit grassroots taxpayer advocacy organization which fights for lower taxes, limited government and full empowerment of taxpaying citizens in accordance with Constitutional principles.

Through the League's lobbying efforts and their ability to mobilize thousands of grassroots activists, they fight to reduce and reform taxation, eliminate government waste, and improve efficiency and serve as a strong voice for all taxpaying citizens in Minnesota.

With their weekly email updates, frequent contact with legislative leaders and regular appearances on At Issue and Almanac, the Taxpayers League is, and remains the recognized leader of Minnesota’s conservative movement.

In November 2007, the Taxpayers League celebrated their 10-year anniversary as Minnesota's largest taxpayer advocacy organization.
