Reynaldo Parks

Reynaldo Parks

Reynaldo Parks Pérez (born December 4, 1974) is an international Costa Rican soccer defender who currently plays for Asociacion Deportiva San Carlos that is coached by Juan Carlos Arguedas. He has played in different teams in Costa Rica, as well as in Mexico and Guatemala. He started out in Costa Rica with his hometown team Limón, and was later transferred to Club Sport Herediano. Then he went on to play with CSD Municipal in Guatemala and UAG Tecos in Mexico, before coming back to Costa Rica to play for Saprissa and Club de Futbol Universidad de Costa Rica

Parks was a key member of the Costa Rican national team that qualified to the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan, serving as the captain. But just before the event started, an injury kept him away of participating in it. Since then, he has won with Saprissa two national championships as well as a UNCAF Cup title and a CONCACAF Champions Cup title.

Parks was part of the team that played the 2005 FIFA Club World Championship Toyota Cup, where Saprissa finished third behind São Paulo Futebol Clube and Liverpool F.C..
