Japhet N'Doram, (born on
February 27 ,1966 inNdjamena ) is a Chadian former footballer who played as astriker . He was nicknamed 'The Wizard' during his playing career [http://www.channel4.com/sport/french_football/jun30e.html] .Beginning his career at local side Tourbillon FC N'Djamena his skills secured him a move to
Tonnerre Yaoundé , one of the biggest clubs inSub-Saharan Africa . His goalscoring prowess inCameroon attracted the attentions of European scouts and he eventually secured a move toFrance .He played for
FC Nantes in France, and he scored many important goals, becoming something of a cult hero at la Beaujoire. Some significant goals included the club's 2000th goal in theLigue 1 or the winning goal in the return match of the Champions League againstJuventus , which nantes won 3-2. He won a French championship medal with Nantes in1995 .He continued his career with
AS Monaco , but retired as a player in1998 following a persistent injury sustained during a match against Nantes. He then joined the technical staff of Monaco as a scout. He reunited with FC Nantes onJune 28 ,2005 , when he replacedRobert Budzynski as sporting director.He played 12 matches and scored 2 goals for the Chadian national team, although the team played only rarely during his heyday.
