The CFL admitted three more U.S.-based teams with the
Las Vegas Posse , theShreveport Pirates and the Baltimore Colts - making it 12 teams in total, six in each division. However, the Colts name was revoked from theBaltimore franchise due toNFL pressure and played the entire season as the "Baltimore CFLers". The new teams would start play in 1994, with Las Vegas joining theSacramento Gold Miners in the West Division and with Baltimore andShreveport joining the East Division.In February,
Bruce M. Firestone purchased theOttawa Rough Riders from theGlieberman family. In May, theJLL Broadcast Group purchased theToronto Argonauts .BC Place Stadium played host to theGrey Cup game on Sunday,November 27 , makingVancouver the host city for the twelfth time-more than any other Western Canadian city. In the Grey Cup game, the hometownB.C. Lions were against the Baltimore CFLers, becoming the first ever Grey Cup game between aCanadian team and an American team. The Lions ended up defeating the Baltimore team by a score of 26-23, onLui Passaglia 's game-winning field goal in the final seconds of the game.Records: In a
