Star Risk, Ltd. is the first book in Chris Bunch's Star Risk Series

Plot Synopsis

Star Risk is the tale of a band of mercenaries, made up of ex-alliance military personnel, a woman so perfect her employer thought she was an android, as well as an alien willing to invest his life savings into the company. Being a new company with no reputation and very little prospects they can not be picky when it comes to jobs. Their first job is to get rid of some pirates attacking miners, working for Transkooteney Mining, in the Foley System. To get the job they must spring a supersoldier from a maximum security prison. Finally getting the contract, he money is right, so with determination, dirty tricks and sheer guts they will do their all to get paid and survive.
