Vanløse is one of the 15 administrative, statistical, and tax city districts ("bydele") comprising the municipality of
Copenhagen ,Denmark . It lies on the west border of the municipality. It covers an area of 6.69 km², has a population of 36,276, and a population density of 5,406 per km².Neighboring city districts are as follows:
* to the southeast is Frederiksberg municipality, which is not a part of Copenhagen municipality but rather anenclave surrounded by the municipality
* to the northeast isBispebjerg
* to the north isBrønshøj-Husum
* to the west is Rødovre municipality, which is outside of the Copenhagen municipality area
